Matthew Henry quote
11/5/1997
It’s called “Search For Me.” There’s some words that go along with it, not words of the song, but written by Matthew Henry in 1721, “In seeking God, we must search for Him. Accomplish a diligent search for directions in seeking Him. Encouragements to our faith and hope. We must continue seeking, and take pains in seeking, as those that search. And this we must do with our heart, that is, in sincerity and uprightness. And with our whole heart, that is, with vigor and fervency, putting forth all that is within us in prayer. And those who thus seek God shall find Him their bountiful rewarder.” (Matthew Henry, 1721). This is from Jeremiah chapter 29, verses 11-14.
Search for Me
Call upon Me
Come and pray to Me
And I will listen
And I will listen to you
And you will seek Me
And find Me when you search for Me
When you search with all your heart
I will be found by you
I will be found by you
When you search for Me
With all your heart
