The Leader Confusion

1/9/2026

No hierarchy, just respect and giftedness, and leadership. The gift of Shepherd is real. 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, Ephesians 4:11-17, Acts 6. The gift of leadership in Romans 12 is real. Those are real. Hierarchy, “main man” by title or “position,” are destructive and wrong. Who are the “leaders” in the Ecosystem and the priesthood? “The one who sounds the most like Jesus right now,” that’s who.

As many as are led by the Spirit are sons of God. “That resonates!” and “Did not our hearts burn within us as we walked along the way?” 1 John 2: The anointing is real and not counterfeit, if Christ lives in you!

The Apostles in the beginning are “the foundation stones of the Holy City”—not Popes, but the first witnesses. We wouldn’t know very much without their testimony. They got it straight from the mouth of “the Word who became flesh.” Authority structures are never mentioned in the Scriptures. Gifts and leadership, not Talking Heads and CEOs. And, “full of the Holy Spirit and full of wisdom” is available to anyone and everyone, moment by moment, in the priesthood of believers. “When revelation comes to the second, let the first one sit down.”

No paid “pastors.” We are just always to free up, organically, those “full of the Holy Ghost and full of wisdom” if needed to get His job done. This has to do with the overflow of the Spirit of God every day, not administrative leadership, ambition, eloquence, charisma, or seminary cemetery knowledge. Those particularly—evidently gifted and fruitful, and sometimes teaching shepherds... But this is not and never was “salary.” Rather, it is “not muzzling the ox that is struggling to tread out the grain.” Anyone can be temporarily freed up financially, or long-term freed up, or they can make tents while they also serve God. Like a salesman on 100% commission, as they bear fruit. But paid clergy? Library allowance? Salary and percentage? Book deals? Music deals? Good grief, NO.
