Chance to Trade Wrath for Riches

Let’s have a word of prayer together before we depart here. “Our Father, you have amazed us continually with the simplicity of the way you have reached out to mankind. We need something more complicated. We think we need some way where we can earn our way to Heaven. Something we can grab ahold of and say ‘There, I’ve got it. I deserve it.’ Yet, Father, as we look into our own hearts through the glasses of Jesus Christ, we see that there is nothing we can do to deserve anything but wrath. Father, we give you honor tonight and we give you thanksgiving because you have allowed us to have an opportunity to be free from the wrath and the punishment, to be free from the torment of hell. Instead to trade all those things for the riches of Heaven and the glories of a life that is filled with Your Presence and Direction and Friendship on this earth. Father, I pray that your Holy Spirit will work in each heart in this room no matter what their status might be to help us to see that only a total reliance and faith in the blood of Jesus can make us whole. Father, I ask you to give each person the courage to make the decision that they need to make at this moment. Father, I offer this prayer in the name of your Mighty Son, Jesus. Amen
