“They were filled with indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, ‘Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this whole new life.’”

The “Good News of the Kingdom” is Zoe, Zoe, Zoe Life of Eternity, On earth as in Heaven, in you—not when you die and go to heaven!

It’s pretty short, but the idea that you can pray Jesus into your heart and attend something and be generally American religious is such a ridiculous concept that many hide behind while living any way they please. Others just have never been told what to expect. It’s like someone from a Third World country that’s given 10,000 shares of Apple stock, and it becomes just trivial scrap paper for the children. If you don’t know what to expect, if you don’t know what the gift and the inheritance say, how can you embrace and live in the fullness of it? That’s what’s being stolen from the religious world, being dumbed down—like slaves in the 17 and 1800’s where education was forbidden. We can do better, though Satan and much of the bitter, worldly, religious folks will hate it!
