To Be Loved By The King

In the 1500s in England, a Queen came to the throne due to her sister’s death. Previous to her ascent to the throne, she had deeply loved a young duke. Presumably, years later, after this young duke had acted in ways that might have cost him his life, he was asked why he had acted as he had. His answer? “To be loved by the Queen would make any man crazed!” And what, then, would it do to US to be loved by the KING of all the Kings??!!!!!! Would we find sufficient motivation to put behind us sins of the flesh, sins of the mind and emotion, sins of misplaced affections, sins involving time and pursuits, sins of fear or pride or laziness? “TO BE LOVED BY THE KING!!!” Wow.
