Tree of Life Party

speech bubble representing person 1 talking Interesting and inviting and encouraging to consider that there is no Tree of Life Party without the CHOICE to die first. -John 12:23-26

Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. -Jesus

Amazing!

speech bubble representing person 2 talking Question: What’s the difference between the death of conversion and “I die daily”?

The death, burial, and resurrection—the conversion, is: you relinquish any right to fight against, or whine about anything God wants from us ever again for the rest of our life. The “die daily” are temptations—but it’s not a new choice of whether to give in to the temptation anymore if we’ve made Covenant. That decision has totally been made forever, no takebacks, no Plan B. I’m not my own; I’m bought for a price. That doesn’t make temptations instantly easy, but it’s not a decision anymore. That decision has been made. Death once for all, burial and resurrection.

The 100%—and then the +1’s forever into “the full measure of the stature and character of Christ”...

The living and active Word lays bare the MOTIVES of the heart. All things are permissible but not all things are beneficial. The decision is whether to pursue flesh or pursue Jesus, and most things don’t matter very much. But when it becomes a matter of obsessing and pursuing flesh, lay it aside. MOTIVES.
