A Very Special Time

Question number one: If Jesus said it’s a wicked and corrupt generation, and Paul said the days are evil and the time is short, could it possibly be true now that it has changed? Is it no longer a wicked and corrupt generation, as Jesus said? Are the days no longer evil and time is longer now, not “time is even shorter”?
Question number two: Was Jesus exaggerating or embellishing Matthew chapter 24 and the book of Revelation? Just poetic or metaphorical only? If you believe the scriptures are true and Jesus didn’t lie or exaggerate, then that means those things are going to happen at some point, or not? If so, what does it really look like “on the ground” to an observer? Could it look like this, as it begins now? Or should we just ignore it and say “all things go on as they always have” and act like there will never be an End and the Bible is just a storybook after all? But if it’s true? What would it look like? And can we wrap our hearts and minds around how to proceed day by day? Or should we stick our fingers in our ears, close our eyes, and say “la la la la la” to ourselves? Is that part of the culling or pruning or refining? Have there been undeniable, unpredictable, undeserved, logically impossible “signs following”? Or just a bunch of consecutive coincidences in a short amount of time? And if we accept that the Bible is true, and it has to happen sometime, and there are “signs following” to indicate that “it’s a very special time to be living in this world” as Keith Lancaster sings, “what then shall we do”? Something to think about.
