Will You Voluntarily Live Out His High Calling?

“Don’t you realize that I could ask My Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled?” (Matt. 26:53-54). Isn’t it intriguing that God the Father would have let Jesus out of His Calling, and even sent thousands of angels in answer to His Son’s call for relief? God will actually work with us in taking a road of our choosing rather than His, because He loves us. It would have been a shame—a tremendous loss—if Jesus had chosen that. But it was possible. The Father wanted His Son to want what he wanted and participate in His Calling VOLUNTARILY. It’s the same for you and me, Family. He wants us to die to our wants—VOLUNTARILY. Will we call for angels, knowing the Father will give us “relief” from our High Calling, if that’s what we really want? Or, will we lay it all down for Him? What an amazing God!!! His Ways are rich and deep beyond words... 1:31 p.m.
