Mind Controlled by the Spirit!!
Do I believe that’s possible? I can have the very mind of Christ. I don’t have to live by my own natural, selfish, sinful human intellect, thrown around by my own thoughts. God wants my mind to be dominated by His Spirit. I must believe that, and in humility, on my knees beg Him for that miracle—trusting that He is able to teach me what a “mind controlled by the Spirit” is and get me to that place! Having a mind controlled by the Spirit is a growing process throughout life, but I’ve gotta start by believing it’s God’s Desire for me personally. As I cry out to Him, am open to the Word from His vessels, repent of worldly thinking and priorities, and lay my mind at His feet…He will transform my mind! His Heart for us is that our minds would be set free from domination by our sinful nature and become mastered by His Spirit. “The mind controlled by the Spirit is Life and Peace” (and pleasing to Father)!!! I want to be lost in Jesus and have His very mind.
I’m so far from that now, but step by step He will take me there!

We can have our mind controlled by His Spirit! We need to believe that He can do it! Do you BELIEVE? If not, why? Do you think that you aren’t good enough? Do you think He is not capable? You don’t have to know how He is going to do it. You just need to believe that He is able and willing. Your mind being controlled by the Spirit isn’t this thing that you try to do with your mind, but it is giving your mind over, to be controlled by His Spirit.
Your mind controlled by His Spirit, not His Spirit controlled by your mind. A key to know if your mind is controlled by the Spirit is, what do you think of first? What are your thoughts dominated by? What does your heart flicker at? If you are controlled by His Spirit then you will know when it’s alright to go to bed early or if you need to do something else. Don’t get too busy, be quiet enough to hear Him. Don’t expect a different result if you aren’t doing anything to change. Your mind could be full of thoughts just going everywhere, you could be lazy with your thoughts, or you could have real strong thoughts and opinions. OR you could have your mind controlled by His Spirit. He is big enough to do more than we can ask for or imagine………..
(we read Romans 8:5-6) “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”
