Do You, Will You, As a Gift to Jesus Abdicate?

“I abdicate authority. I abdicate my rights.” I’m sure you all recognize those words from a song a couple of sisters have sung on a cd that’s about to come out. I wonder if we take seriously the meaning of that abdication. Do you willingly renounce your rights and your privileges and your comforts in all areas? Do you abdicate? Will you do that for Jesus as he did that for you? What about your nice comfortable house? What about your health? What about your job? What about whether or not people like you or respect you or include you? What about your spouse or children? Do you abdicate authority? Do you abdicate your rights? Do you abdicate the power to decide? This is a gift of course we all want to give Jesus since He gave everything for us. 11:19 a.m.
