“Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.” (Prov. 25:28)

What was the purpose of city walls in the ancient world?

What would become of a city whose walls were broken down?

If I live today in a self-gratifying, self-serving way, “like an unreasoning animal,” what am I doing to my future?

Instead, if I cooperate, today I can let “the grace of God...teach me to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live a self-controlled, upright, and Godly life in this present age.” Yes!
