Courage to Dance, Born in Grace
“Have the courage to fail big, and stick around. Make them wonder why you’re still smiling.”
Yes, I know true repentance WILL bring passion—energy and conviction to renounce and resolve all sin issues before God and man. (2Cor.7) No doubt.
Yes, I know that “a man after God’s own heart” felt his very bones rotting due to his distance from God, before he repented. Sin hurts. It hurts Father to see His Son “crucified afresh” in any sins of ours that sent Jesus to be killed by men. Yes, sin is terrible, and needs to be put aside for Jesus’ sake.
HOWEVER! This does not negate the above, but I would also contend that “he who is forgiven much, loves much”—and DANCES much!
I heard this quote about two weeks ago, and it struck me about like that. True Grace calls to our hearts—and produces courage. GRACE BIRTHS COURAGE to love—and to DANCE LIKE DAVID DANCED. : )
And for you and I? This quote below is pretty good advice, after we have, of course, truly renounced sin and turned our hearts from it, by His kindness and love. STILL, embrace this:
“Have the courage to fail big, and stick around. Make them wonder why you’re still smiling.” : )
To God be the glory, great things HE hath done! : )
