RESILIENCE: Faith Tested

Please do not skim what is written below. It is a key to JesusLife, for sure.
Greek word “resilience” — ὑπομονή hypomonē
RESILIENCE IS... the ability of a person because of Faith in Jesus and His Rightness and Sovereignty to: •recover quickly from difficulties, •adapt quickly and kindly and with noticeable stability to adversity, •and maintain a positive attitude of Strength, despite challenges.
“Let the weak say, ‘I am strong!’”
There is no doubt that RESILIENCE is an unbelievable superpower—hidden deep within “the full measure of the stature of Christ, the anointing.”
Resilient believers FORGIVE, FORGIVE, FORGIVE those who repent, or those who have harmed them—without holding grudges or being standoffish. He who is forgiven much—loves much.
The RESILIENT continue to: •live full ahead without delay or whining or limping after setbacks, •remain calm and peaceful under pressure, •and set their sights towards Jesus and HIS OUTCOME IN TRUST—even when faced with obstacles, ups and downs of expectations, or delayed desires.
Hypomonē RESILIENCE is:
1. Active endurance: It’s not just passive waiting, but actively standing firm under pressure.
2. Constancy under suffering: It refers to maintaining faith and duty even in difficult circumstances.
3. Biblical Resilience is described as a “quality of character that does not allow one to surrender.”
4. Linked to hope and faith: Hupomone is closely connected to hope in God’s promises and maintaining faith IN GOD’s CHARACTER through trials.
5. Developed through trials: The New Testament teaches that suffering produces hupomone, which in turn develops character and hope.
Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience, resilience. (Luke 8:14-15)
You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost. By your patience, resilience you buy your psuche. (Luke 21:16-19)
God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patience, resilience in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil. (Romans 2:6-9)
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, resilience; and resilience, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:3-5)
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance, resilience. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. (Romans 8:25-26)
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience, resilience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of resilience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus. (Romans 15:4-5)
Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring, resilience towards the same sufferings which we also suffer. (2 Corinthians 1:6)
That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience, resilience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. (Colossians 1:10-12)
Making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience, resilience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father. (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)
Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience, resilience of Christ. (2 Thessalonians 3:5)
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, resilience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life. (1 Timothy 6:11-12)
God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a strong mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
For you have need of endurance, resilience, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” (Hebrews 10:36-38)
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance, resilience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
My family, count it all joy when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience, resilience. But let resilience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4)
I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and resilience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:9)
