Cursed With Vision in a Land of the Blind

10/31/2009

The high Price of truly loving Jesus—and therefore living for uncompromised, undiluted TRUTH in Him:

Excerpt from the book He Who Wept: You will know the loneliness, the despair...You will see your words cut men's hearts...You will be cursed with vision in a land of the blind.

Excerpt from He Who Wept:

“Do you know what it means, boy—to be a prophet?” the old man demanded, lancing Jeremiah with a sudden stare.

“I...no, sir, I suppose not. Not yet.”

“Ah, well, you will, if your call be genuine,” muttered the old man. “You will know the loneliness, the despair...You will see your words cut men's hearts, and though they may respect you, even fear you, rarely will they love you. You will hear the bleeding of your soul parodied by the street-corner charlatans, transformed into play-rhymes by children in the streets. You will be cursed with vision in a land of the blind.”

Such treatment is guaranteed if you actually Represent Jesus accurately, rather than as a man-pleaser with idols in your life:

“As for you, son of man, your countrymen are talking together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, saying to each other, ‘Come and hear the message that has come from the Lord.’ People come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust life. Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.

“When all this comes true—and it surely will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them” (Ezekiel 33:30-33).

Hallelujah!!
