If We Could Reverse Time

Wouldn’t we all

Want to restart our lives

Better choices, without flaws

No ruts and no dives.

But that’s not how it is

On this planet of mud.

The Good News of Jesus:

Not time, but His Blood.

Father knew we would fail

And knew we would be weak.

There are no excuses

But the future’s NOT bleak.

The past is too sad

To spell out in detail

But Jesus is the one

Who is weighed on the Scale.

Reversing time

We’d still be found weak

Never making excuses

Still the Shepherd we’d seek.

There’s no other Way

To the humble but Free

Our failures are heartbreaking,

Yet He loves, and covers, even me.
