The Courage of Grace
I was thinking my tendency would be to take what you said and turn it into a striving thing like “Ok, now I have to get this right. How am I doing now? Oh! I just thought about myself! Oh!” And it just turns back on me again.
I read a quote recently that when I wrote it down, I wrote it down under the title of “The Courage of Grace.” The quote was
Have the courage to fail really big and keep on going. Make them wonder why you’re smiling. : )
I really liked that. I know there’s a place for being seriously penitent about our tragic sins, but I still think the heart of the matter at the end of the day, maybe not at the end of the moment, but the heart of the matter at the end of the day is to “have the courage to fail really big and keep on going. Make them wonder why you’re smiling.” The Courage of Grace. :) So weave that into what you’re thinking about too.
