More on Dealing With Anxiety

Anxiety is NOT always chemical. Don’t use that as an excuse. Maybe it ENDS that way, in a chemical tornado (that YOU created) that is hard to get out of. But it starts somewhere. You are not a victim.

1) I’m eating from the wrong tree of right and wrong. And I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong or not, which is not Trusting Jesus, His love, and His Blood.

The Answer: Shhhhh. Trust. Trust. Trust. Be the little girl or boy walking through the garden.

2) I don’t understaaaaaand something. And I start spinning about HOW to do something practically, or I’m trying to figure something out. Wrong tree again.

The Answer: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6). Jesus is a person, not a method or how-to. “Could it be the only answer that means anything is YOU.” Jesus is the Master Teacher. Trust HIM to help lead, and guide, and direct. Open yourself up to Him, and He will take you where you need to go. Do not seek “answers” and “understanding.” Above all, seek HIM.

3) I’m not hating sin and loving righteousness. I am loving my sin and WANTING to do wrong, but I know I SHOULDN’T. Therefore, I feel anxiety because I’m afraid of the consequences of sin and of eternal hell.

The answer: “Love righteousness and hate wickedness” (Hebrews 1:9). “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). CHOOSE to side with the Holy Spirit against yourself. Make it your Goal to please Jesus. Pound those arrows! And when you sin, repent quickly. And if you still feel anxiety, ignore it.

4) I have a worldly sorrow about sin. I know I should repent, but I am more afraid of hell rather than sad that I’m doing something that displeases Jesus and is crucifying Him. Therefore, I try to do the “right” thing instead of repenting of the sin with a Godly sorrow.

The Answer: CHOOSE and cry out to God for a Godly sorrow that leads to true repentance. Love GOD’s ways like David did. It’s a choice.

5) I am trying to angle something to get my way and be a god. “Can I go against my conscience and allow this radio thought and not go to hell?” Yuck.

The Answer: STOP angling things to get your way. You are not a god. You don’t have a “right” to sin.
