Moving Into Jesus Opens Heaven’s Door

For the wages, the payment of following and obeying sin as master—is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Or do you not know, brothers—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? (Romans 6:23, Romans 7:1)
Dying to self-life frees you to marry Jesus! The only way to NOT be married to do’s and don’ts—is to die to self. When you are no longer the object of your own thoughts and desires, and Jesus is now your focus by FAITH in what HE has done, you move from a slave—to a son or daughter.
“Did you receive the Spirit by the works of obedience, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the ‘good’ flesh?” (Galatians 3:2-3)
“Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.” (Galatians 3:7)
“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:24-26)
“Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under obedience to the law as justification before God, that we might receive instead the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:3-7)
“But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements of do’s and don’ts, to which you desire again to be in bondage?” (Galatians 4:9)
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
George Whitefield paraphrased:
“My friends, listen closely, for here is a truth more glorious than any gold, more necessary than our daily bread. As I searched my heart and the Scriptures, I saw that we, all of us, are sinners—unable by our own efforts to meet the holy standard of the Almighty. Our very best deeds are but filthy rags in His sight, stained by sin and self. Yet, let none despair! For there is a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness; there is One who has drawn near to stand in our place.
“Behold Christ Jesus! He who was a spotless Lamb, who knew no sin, became sin for us—He took our guilt as His own, bore our penalty on Calvary’s tree, that the very justice of God might be satisfied and the love of God might be poured out in abundance. Oh! What a marvelous exchange! That He who was rich in righteousness bore our poverty, that we, through faith, might become rich in that righteousness—accepted, justified, and clothed in robes whiter than any fuller on earth could bleach. Let us not be deceived, dear souls, into thinking we can earn this by our own virtue or striving. Salvation is of the Lord, a gift of grace, never the wages of our merit. Christ’s perfect obedience—His holy life and willing death—fulfilled all God required, and now by faith, His righteousness is counted as ours. The Father sees not our rags, but the spotless garment won by Christ’s obedience. In Him, we stand forgiven, beloved, and welcomed into everlasting joy.
“So I plead with you—turn from your self-trust, cast yourself on the mercy of the Saviour. For as the Scripture says, ‘God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.’ Cling to Christ, for only in Him can sinners such as we find pardon, peace, and the hope of glory.”
“Embrace the wonder of the gospel and trust only in Jesus, who became sin for us so that we might become His righteousness.”

WWJD, “What would Jesus do?” Is this a rule? Absolutely not. That’s crazy talk.
Responding to Jesus is a PATH, a WAY, a LIFE as he lived it, connected to the vine, not a set of things to obey. In HIM, the Vine, we live, and move, and have our being. WWJD?
WDJT, What does Jesus think? WWJF, “How does this make Jesus feel?” Moving into Jesus rather than about Jesus OPENS HEAVEN’S DOOR AND WINDOWS and creates the breeze of heaven’s air in your life, forgiveness, freedom, love, selflessness—where you don’t exist and therefore don’t feel sorry for yourself, aren’t jealous, and aren’t basking in brain dead foolishness. Heaven’s, Eden’s Breeze!
Our movement into “we make it our goal to please him real time” as Paul said is not to earn anything ever. It’s to experience deeper and deeper fellowship with Him as He had with the Father.
We are saved by Grace through faith, and that not of yourself, lest any man boast, or feel good about himself in himself, or judge others.
It’s for freedom that we were set free.
Jesus gave us our hundred percent on the test, and now we do the work to learn how to move towards the full measure of the stature of Christ and bear fruit that will last.
