Please Get Ready!

“I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when (if) I go and **make ready** a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And [to the place] where I am going, you know the way.”

His “going” would insist that whatever’s next IS NOT HERE on the earth and its material world. And his “making ready” and “preparing” doesn’t sound much like a mere static “heaven” as the artists and commentators like to paint. It’s not done or “ready” YET! Whatever is our next assignment isn’t advanced enough YET for Him to change the Storyline—to involve the Bride, YET. Hmmmm!

Some people haven’t mustered the self-discipline to fight and sacrifice and prepare NOW for the “Olympics in three years we are preparing for” since it seems far away, and the pillow and warm blankets NOW seem more real than “the Olympics in three years.” The cost is high of training and sacrificing and self control at 5 a.m. everyday between now and then, so far away (when “the Olympics in three years” is just a dream, and the “now” is “real” and what we see).

Please get ready!

Seems to me the operative word is “dream.” If the dream isn’t real to me because of dilution and distraction by all my comforts and earthy desires/pressures, I won’t pay that high cost of training. To me, this isn’t a call just to “skip the chocolate cake” or “pray more late at night.” It means LIVE for the DREAM. I will demand of myself that the Dream, which I can’t see this moment, be my Reality and that I cast off everything that hinders and rethink whatever I have to to line my life up with running the race to win. Believe!!! I’m feeling super weak in the face of this, but this is True, so it IS my path. :)
