When the Day Comes, Be Ready!
8/12/2025
Found this in some notes:
Be Ready. When the day comes and it is time to CHARGE, Will I be ready, poised, chomping at the bit (like a steed ready for battle under my rider), or will I have to be roused from an “informed stupor”?? Informed because I’ve sat under decades of awesome teaching and have been touched by Jesus and His people, but in a stupor because I’m not keeping myself sharp and attentive and alert... I’ve sold some of my passion to the seen world, I’ve given some of my edge to my preferences and comforts, I’ve compromised some of the Vision by reacting to current affairs. When He comes, will He find us Watching? And by coming, perhaps it’s not just about His return, but even the moment when it is time to confront the liar and stand uncompromisingly against this horribly fallen world, represent a love and a truth for which we will be ridiculed, ostracized, locked away from our comfortable lives, and perhaps even killed. What can we do now to be ready for then? How can we live and see each moment and each person now, in preparation for that moment?
Thanks. This is very freeing too, provided the Ready Life is in place:
“There are answers we don’t have and never will. That’s the upside and the downside of NOT BEING GOD. If we could demand every answer from Him or fix every issue or explain every seeming injustice or control every outcome—we would BE God. And we’re not. Live with it. God is Good and does Good. TRUST that HE knows that this “Bootcamp” is not a mistake or flaw, but “works together for the Good—for those who LOVE Him and are called according to HIS Purposes” rather than their own. We WILL See it all from His eyes—soon enough.”
Reading Paul’s journey this morning... He was judged and accused, with arguments that were all lies. And even though he didn’t know ahead of time what he needed to say, he knew where he needed to go. Maybe the confusion in front of him didn’t make all that much difference because God is still God.
