Shared DNA, Not a Transaction

To be born of Jesus is to be clothed with Christ, to be Born anew with His DNA. All the genes for everything that Jesus is is now inside of us. It is now our DNA. To grow into the stature of Jesus does not come by finally “doing better at obeying.” Rather, when you explore something that is part of the DNA of Jesus - patience, humility, mercy, strength, dignity, truth without compromise, and more - when you burrow down into it, embrace it, and ask Him to help you become that person, then you go deeper into His DNA and you can participate more in a relationship with God.
