God Is Not Transactional!

GOD is not “transactional!”

Please read that again. And if you don’t get it, please read it again!

He doesn’t “bless you” by giving you a good parking spot near the front door of the store.

He doesn’t punish you for a bad choice or action or thought, tit for tat. That is so shallow and nothing like God.

He doesn’t bless you for a “good choice.” If you think you deserve something good because you made a “one off” good decision you really have missed the whole point of what it means to be a Christian. At best, we are only unprofitable servants, and we don’t get to sit at Jesus’ table because we made a good decision “in this particular situation.”

Good grief. God is not playing games or trading us!

He wants you to BE like His Son Jesus in your character and desires, not “do” stuff!
