Snip, Snip, Snip!

3/7/2025

Step outside of every thought streaming into your mind that, of course, tends to come one after another after another.

That stream of thought is known as “temptation.” Or “radio.”

(“Radio” = our spinning, chattering, analytical noisy thoughts that are not of Christ -- our radio of self-indulgence, self-justification, accusation and judgment, mopey, looping, fantasies, comparison, pride, fears, and more.)

Instead of claiming “Yeah, but it’s true” or taking on “feelings” or reactions or counter arguments about it...

Instead, ask “IS THERE LIFE AND PEACE” in this thought and the feelings or reactions it is starting to create? Is this really something Jesus would be thinking about or feeling right now in this situation?!”

You don’t have to argue about some little bit of truth to it and debate back and forth in your mind. In the wilderness, satan used a little bit of truth and twisted it up into a destructive lie when tempting Jesus. In the garden, satan used a little bit of truth and twisted it into a destructive lie when tempting Eve. And then Eve took a relationship that was legitimate and twisted it up to manipulate Adam. “Misery and guilt love company.”

Instead of allowing this stream—which certainly does not provoke and promote “life and peace” as a “mind controlled by the Spirit” always will—INSTEAD of debating or tolerating this loose, sloppy thread of thought that does not promote life and peace, but you’ve just been convinced it’s fine anyway because it seems to be true... blah, blah... just SNIP off the thread of thought, as with a pair of scissors cutting a thread. Do you feel a particular set of thoughts pulllllling you in a direction that is not life and peace? You have a choice to snip that thread off. Don’t argue with it or justify it or fall for the idea “that thought is just a part of me, and it’s logical.” If it does not promote “life and peace” it is absolutely not from the Spirit. Cut it off. Snip it off like a thread with a pair of scissors. Boom. Gone. Moving on now.

Learn how to identify *early* when satan is trying to put his hand over your nose and mouth to suffocate you with radio thoughts. If someone was trying to suffocate you, would you wait until you pass out, or would you knock their hands off of your nose and mouth as soon as you started to lack oxygen? There are times when you are tempted, and you can feel yourself just barely starting to be unable to breathe: not life and peace. Don’t wait! Don’t let the avalanche start in the first place! If you allow a sloppy stream of thought to keep going or debate with the radio, then satan will suffocate you. Identify where these thoughts are taking you: “life and peace” or suffocation? You CAN snip off the thread of thought early—before you can’t breathe anymore. The lie hidden in partial truth, as satan always does, that does not have Jesus in it and does not, therefore, bring life and peace, is not part of you. You have the ability to snip the thread that is pulling you. Take out your Holy Spirit scissors. “Lucifer, you are not welcome in this place.”

“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6

A “thought” the mammal allowed, without “snipping the thread” immediately, with a heart of, “Abba takes great care of me. How dumb is this?”....

> So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food.

> that it was pleasant to the eyes—“Snip” by the Spirit: “How dumb is THIS?! Who cares! ‘Pleasant to the eyes,’ REALLY?! Big stinking deal. I’m well-provided for and surrounded by all the Beauty of the Father’s Life. And I’m not about to let that drip away by listening to this ‘ain’t it pretty’ radio and running my fool motor over ‘pleasant to the eyes’ nonsense.”

> desirable to make one wise—“Pride and SELF-sufficiency are SO not necessary in ABBA’s Family where He guides my every step if I’m paying attention to Him instead of to myself. There is a way that seems right to a mere man, but in the end, I know it leads to death. I don’t have to be anybody or impress anyone. I just have to be His. Not long ago, I was just a pile of dust and a broken rib. And it will just be ultimately dust to dust again. Why do I have to ‘be somebody’ in between? I am just His and don’t need to be separate from Him, mustn’t be separate from Him.”

Snip, snip, snip!

And the whole world changes for the Better, by caring enough to SNIP satan’s thread before he yanks in the hook.
