We Won’t Find Solutions Looking On the Wrong Axis

12/25/2024

From some conversations the last couple of days...

XY-axis = where problems are

Z-axis1 = where solutions are

“We cannot solve problems on the same axis that created them.” (Adjusted Einstein quote)

After being part of, or overhearing some conversations where some were trying to “figure out” how to help a child/children overcome an “educational” problem, which, from my view, was really *character* problems, I was reminded of the above quote.

Sure, if a child needs to memorize math facts, there may exist a practical clever solution or tool to help. But if the problem is a character/heart issue, then tossing around 101 details to try to “figure” out how to “solve it” is nothing more than:

“We cannot solve problems on the same axis that created them.” (Adjusted Einstein quote)

And it’s a pathetic waste of time *on top of* the problem itself.

No more. Can we turn our faces to Him and the winds of heaven for wisdom and help for these little ones?

When I look back, I can see how I too often spent so much energy looking for solutions on the wrong axis. Ahhhh. God is so simple!!!!

XY-axis = where problems are

Z-axis = where solutions are

“We cannot solve problems on the same axis that created them.” (Adjusted Einstein quote)

1In this conversation, the XY-axis versus the Z-axis is being used as an illustration of the difference between eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil vs eating of the Tree of Life. XY-axis living is a “flat” natural living of good vs evil. Z-axis is a supernatural Zoe life in Jesus. Back
