Surrender to His Axis, So He Can Do His Work Through Us

What follows is a conversation following an encounter when a raucous, inebriated unbeliever rammed into a gracious Believer at an event... Other saints present watched the unbeliever melt from rowdy and hard to soft and receptive to God’s Life and Word...

It was one of those situations where most would’ve been offended or uncomfortable from getting rammed. But when (the Believer) instead struck up a conversation with (the unbeliever), the unbeliever started gushing about how sorry he was and how bad he felt about it and then literally spent most of the rest of the time talking to us instead of his buddies. Which led to Good things and promise for his future!

I was pretty mind blown, really. At first, I felt bad for (the Believer) getting rammed by the “loser” in my mind. Looser-type speech, vaping right after the event coordinator said no smoking, multiple beers, crazy dancing. He left for a while at one point, and I felt like “good riddance.” But then later, he was back, and I could then see the unbeliever begin to melt. His demeanor was totally different—very soft and attentive.

“Resilient believers FORGIVE, FORGIVE, FORGIVE those who repent, or those who have harmed them—without holding grudges or being standoffish. He who is forgiven much—loves much.”

I was the farthest away, but I was thinking about how to describe what I saw. One analogy that comes to mind is “gravity.” Massive objects substantially bend Einstein’s “space time,” drawing nearby objects in. What Einstein didn’t grasp is that there is a Zoe dimension (axis)1 that can also be “bent”… drawing in people, the spirit part of us. Many people “don’t weigh anything” in the Zoe dimension, and so drift and chase shadows. Other people are still a little bit alive on the inside, so they can be affected by Zoe-gravity. And other people (and peoples!) have put all their weight in Zoe, and so bend the universe around them, drawing others in and “up”. What I saw was like a spiritual almost-nothing who “got too close and fell in—smiling.”

It was encouraging that there are still people out there who are hungry and inspired to “be heavier in the Zoe axis.”

“There but for the Grace of God go I.” Thank you for seeing into the Eternal and past the exterior that satan tries to distract us with and keep us from doing our Job of plucking those from the fire. Even if that person isn’t seen again, heaven has clearly spoken.

I was driving along and thinking about the interaction and conversations with (the unbeliever) recently and the thoughts shared afterward.

It occurred to me in a flood of thoughts and feelings (that I’ve tried to capture below) that this wasn’t just some, “Well... wasn’t that a cool interaction!” Instead, it was EXACTLY WHY EVERY BELIEVER MUST live in Anointing, in Communion, on the Z-axis... There are only a few reasons why this crazy boot camp called Earth even exists... and that interaction was one of those primary Reasons. As someone else said about the gravitational pull in the Zoe dimension, bending and drawing in people... it hit me hard that this ALONE is HOW Jesus can be lifted up in each of our lives (individually and as a Body) and so draw all men to Himself. Only as we surrender ourselves to His Axis, His Flame... can He do this crucial Priestly work THROUGH us. Matthew 13:58: “And He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” That was a miracle interaction that day. That was a human heart and soul being drawn to the Life of Jesus. And it wasn’t a random miracle but the direct result of a life set apart and overflowing with Oil. May we all have such Faith so He can continue to do more such Miracles.

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22:2)

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)

There is training and preparation for war. And then there is actual fighting in the war. He truly means for us to fight and destroy the enemy’s work.

We are...
In the world.
Not of the world.
Yet...
God so loved the world
That He GAVE His Only Son.

When a person is Connected TO and deriving Zoe Life FROM the Tree of Life, it has two main outcomes that correspond (of course) with the two “greatest commandments”:

- A vital and loving relationship with God that blossoms with the Character of Christ... not a means to an end but truly an end in itself
- The ability to fully and fruitfully love others (+1) and bring about the Healing of the nations... sometimes just one person at a time

Note about the cost threshold: As described in Philippians 3:10 (“I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death”), both of these are birthed and matured in the fellowship of His sufferings and will often increase the “scars of Christ” (Galatians 6:17) over the years as one is wicked up into His Flame.

This “Healing” may sometimes be a brother or sister in Christ. But it must be and may often be an unBeliever. If a Believer (100 by the Blood) is a 15 out of 100, then +1 love does the necessary Work to help Move them towards 100. Maybe an unBeliever (not washed in the Blood) is -75 out of 100. Yet +1 can still move their Spiritual needle and is part of the Work.

A person who diligently eats from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil not only misses the deep relationship and personal change offered to them in Christ, they also have no ability to draw others to Christ, because the Living Water is not overflowing.

Jesus said that the world would know we are His disciples by our love for one another.

YET, when asked to define “neighbor” in the 2nd greatest commandment, He tells the story of a Samaritan caring for a beat-up Jew. Father will push us past our natural and tree of knowledge prejudices.

(Side note: the idea of a Jew loving and taking care of a Samaritan would have been offensive to a Jew. Jesus makes it even MORE offensive by saying that it was the Samaritan who demonstrated true love by taking care of the Jew).

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to Glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10

Exodus 19:6 and 1 Peter 2:9: Kingdom of Priests: mediators joining a person’s hand to God’s hand, living sacrifices, interceding.

In a crowd or public place, if I’m spending all my energy “fighting temptations” or worse, being sloppy (“Ooooh, I hope my team wins.” or “Hmm, that person’s earthsuit is attractive” or blah, blah, blah) and therefore no better than a pagan, there is NO WAY to “heal the nations”... especially if I’m actively giving in to the same disease or spending all my energy on defense.

It isn’t “hate the sin, love the sinner”...
It is “hate what God hates, love what God loves, speak what God speaks, and do what God does.”

There is no principle that can navigate the million different scenarios of people. On paper, two people and their respective situations may appear virtually identical, yet HOW God wants to express Himself towards each person may be completely different.

Staying EXTREMELY close to His Heart creates total clarity about His Standard (righteous zeal, “Friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God”) yet also provides enormous room to have the reputation of “a friend of tax collectors and sinners” (“Let him without sin cast the first stone”) as He melts hearts and drops defenses through us.
