Embrace the Life of Our Pioneer, Jesus

NO-Crash Course
We’ve all heard of a “crash course” on a particular topic. I would contend that for the past season, we have been on a “NO-crash course”—learning how to truly hide our lives in Jesus, in the Spirit of God, rather than be religious and hang out, fooling ourselves by lifestyle things, and yet never getting to the HEART of God and JESUS Life-style, fully.
“For those who dwell in ‘Jerusalem’, and their leaders, because they did not know Him, nor even the VOICES of the Prophets which are read every ‘Sabbath’, rejected and killed Jesus, the very One they CLAIMED to have been longing for - the Messiah.” (Acts 13:27)
It’s not as if we didn’t have a warning for the entire human race about where the downfall could be, for them and for us.
“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate.” (Genesis 3:6)
Satan knew (and still knows) that the battlefield would be in the mind and in the flesh. He knew it would all come so naturally to “reason” in the brain that God was/is trying to cheat us. He knew we could ignore the warnings, call it “legalism” and a “burden” to do it God’s way, and just go with what we want to do... or go brain-dead to considering God’s current desire and then try to add religion and relationships to that.
Satan “reasons” with us (while we think it is just us talking to ourselves, though it isn’t) that we can let our minds, our flesh, our fantasies, and our time do what pleases us and that there will be no loss experienced. “We can still have the Garden. In fact, we will be even better off doing it Lucifer’s way.”

As Jesus our PIONEER, our SECOND Adam, the Life-giving Spirit LIVED:
Think on these things... (Philippians 4:8)
The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace... (Romans 8:6)
As many as are led by the Spirit experience Sonship... (Romans 8:14)
Be transformed, TRANSFIGURED, by the renewing of your MIND... (Romans 12:2)
The Way, the Truth, the Life. No man comes to Abba but by Me and the WAY I Lived... (John 14:6)
And I assure you he was not primarily talking about “heaven.”
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your MIND, that by testing you may DISCERN what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and WHOLE.” (Romans 12:2)
“Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
“The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45)

In the end, we will either Look Outward and Look Upward and force our minds to be controlled by the Spirit rather than the flesh animal within—
or we each, individually, will follow the normal mammal IN-STINKS...of :
fears,
desires,
selfishness,
pride,
greed,
ambition,
boredom,
escape fantasies,
“what if-what if” SELFish and undisciplined thought-life—that is no Life at all.
The World System and Religion
The difference between the world system and religion is just about nothing. Religion is just a lucky rabbit’s foot, a guiding philosophy in the rotting open grave of a world that is obsolete and passing away. It is a Boot Camp and pathway to discovering what is meaningless so that we might discover what means everything.
JesusLife in this current age is everything.
Do We Really Have to Repeat the Idiocy?
Please don’t be lazy or sloppy with what happens with your brain. I’ve heard 1000 times:
“I didn’t know that was my proverbial radio static; I thought it was me, and I thought it was true.”
“Would Jesus have allowed those thoughts?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then you have your answer of whether it was satan masquerading as ‘logical’ and ‘you’—because it was not Jesus or like Jesus.”
Do we really have to repeat the idiocy of Eve and then Adam in the Garden every day for the rest of our lives? Or can we embrace the Life of our Pioneer Jesus now, now, NOW?!
What you “do” will be affected, of course, by what you allow yourself to think. The two are very connected, but a “man after God’s own heart” was just that—according to God himself—because he, in spite of his failure and humanity, always kept his heart and mind conscious of God and returned there when he was tricked and encountered “leanness of soul.”
“Purify me, Lord, from ways that aren’t of you...” and from thoughts that are not of you or from you.
Your Covenant is with your Messiah, your Deliverer. Your Covenant is to give Him your eyes, your ears, your time, your emotions, your fears, your wealth, your ambitions, your curiosity about the world, your Amazon account, your home, your family, your future, your past... And give Him your mind, let only His Spirit control your mind, where all of these things want to live and express themselves.
The mind controlled by the Spirit is Life and Peace. (Romans 8:6)
